Wautoma's Favorite Coffee Cart Now Has a Main Street Table, Too

  • November 5, 2026

The coffee cart that sits past Kwik Trip on Division Street has a second address. Chelsee's A.M. Lounge at 209 West Main Street held its grand opening and Chamber ribbon cutting on Saturday, Oct. 31. As of this week, the name that Wautoma has known as a drive-up cart is also a room with tables and a breakfast menu that needs a griddle.

The two locations don't do the same job. The cart on East Division Street is still built for the stop on the way somewhere else. The lounge on Main Street is built for breakfast you sit down to eat. Together they give one local business two kinds of morning, and which one you need depends on your morning.

A cart that began as the answer to fair food

Chelsee's Mobile Cafe opened in 2023. Owner and operator Chelsee Swen built it around a simple idea, as the Waushara Argus reported: healthier choices than the usual fair food and drinks, including dye-free, low-sugar, no-sugar and caffeine-free options.

That idea grew into a fixed spot. The cafe's Waushara Area Chamber of Commerce listing says it now serves from a permanent lot at 755 East Division Street, and the original travel trailer, called the "OG," still goes to local events and special locations. The lot menu fits the format: espresso drinks, real fruit refreshers, a rotating seasonal drink list, acai bowls, yogurt parfaits and rotating cookie flavors. The listing sums it up as "All of the fun stuff, none of the junk!"

Everything on that list can be handed through a window. That is the limit the Main Street storefront removes.

What the room on West Main Street adds

The lounge describes itself in its Chamber listing in words that tell regulars what to expect:

"Enjoy our favorite curated food items while you dine in or take out! It's completely different from what we've been doing with similarities sprinkled in between all the new!"

The "similarities" are easy to find on the menu. Espresso drinks, matcha and chai carry over from the cart, and so do yogurt and acai bowls. The "new" is cooked breakfast: sourdough waffles, egg sandwiches on bagels or English muffins, eggs, and biscuits and gravy. Wraps, sandwiches, flatbreads, soup and salad round it out.

With dine-in seating, the room can serve the kind of breakfast that needs a plate and a fork. The menu also runs past the morning. Wraps, flatbreads and soup make the lounge a lunch option as well as a breakfast stop, and the hours reflect that.

Orders also go online. The lounge uses the Dripos ordering platform, and online ordering was set to start Sunday, Nov. 1, at 9 a.m.

Hours on Main Street

The lounge's Chamber listing posts these regular hours:

  • Monday: closed
  • Tuesday through Friday: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

New restaurants often adjust their hours in the first weeks, so check the listing or the ordering page before you go. The Division Street lot runs on its own schedule. Chelsee's has long used its social channels to post where the cart will be each week, and the Argus profile points readers to its Facebook and Instagram pages for that. The cafe's phone number is (920) 765-0684.

One owner, two mornings

Running both was the plan from the start. In its summer 2026 look at Wautoma, Fox Cities Magazine wrote that she had "just opened a brick-and-mortar on Main Street, and plans to keep both the restaurant and the cafe cart open."

Here is how the two addresses split up:

Division Street lot West Main Street lounge
Address 755 E. Division St. 209 W. Main St.
Format Cafe at a permanent lot, plus the "OG" trailer at events Dine-in and takeout
Built around Espresso, refreshers, seasonal drinks, bowls, parfaits, cookies Sourdough waffles, egg sandwiches, biscuits and gravy, wraps, flatbreads, soup and salad
Shared items Espresso drinks, acai and yogurt bowls Espresso drinks, acai and yogurt bowls
Ordering At the cart In person or online through Dripos

The overlap is intentional. A regular who orders the same drink at the lot can order it on Main Street. The lounge adds a hot breakfast and a place to sit.

Where the lounge fits in Wautoma's food scene

Before the lounge, a sit-down breakfast in Wautoma usually meant the edge of town. Fox Cities Magazine's feature sends pancake and Belgian waffle fans to Lakeshore Family Restaurant, "right off of Highway 21," which it says is known for hearty breakfasts and a wide range of breakfast combinations. Lakeshore is still the place for a full diner-style breakfast. The lounge brings a smaller, coffee-led breakfast downtown to Main Street.

It also joins a group of food businesses that made the town's 2026 restaurant guide. The same feature introduces Frank's & Feta, which opened in early 2026 and serves burgers and creative hot dogs, such as a Greek-style dog topped with gyro meat and tzatziki. It quotes co-owner Gloria Cereceres saying they were busy from the day the doors opened. For a burger and a game on TV, the feature points to Grimm's One More and I Gotta Go Bar and Grill on Main Street, owned and operated by Aaron Grimm since 2003.

Fold in the lounge's 8 a.m. opening and Main Street now has its own breakfast stop, plus a daytime menu that can cover lunch.

A November date a few doors west

Two blocks' worth of street numbers from the lounge, the WWII Memorial Building at 440 West Main Street hosts the Rotary Club of Wautoma's Veterans Day dinner on Wednesday, Nov. 11. Waushara County's announcement says doors open at 4:30 p.m., dinner comes from the Moose Inn, and veterans and one guest eat free. Other guests pay $12, and the Rotary asks for an RSVP by phone or email, with details in the county notice.

The lounge closes at 3 p.m., so it won't overlap with the dinner. Still, the two show how much of Wautoma's November now happens along this one stretch of Main Street.

New businesses on Main Street change how the whole downtown feels, and our team keeps an eye on them because we live here too.
